How to install RSAT on Windows Operating System

In this post, I am going to show you the step by step procedure on “How to install RSAT for your Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista operating system". It helps the administrators to manage the Roles and Features remotely.

            RSAT stands for Remote Server Administration tool. It helps you to run the Roles and Features of Windows Server Operating System right from your Client computer. There are following pre-requisites that your OS should meet before you go ahead and install RSAT on your Computer: 

1. Your Windows Operating System should be either Professional or Enterprise editions of Windows Client OS.
2. In order to install RSAT on your Computer, you should be running at least Windows Vista on your PC.   

In order to install RSAT on your PC, you need to follow the below step by step procedure:

Step 1: Check the RSAT in Turn Windows Features On or Off:

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Switch to Small or Large category View.
3. Click on Programs and Features.
4. Click on Turn Windows features On or Off from left pane.
5. Check for the Remote Server Administration Tool.
6. A. If you can find the above tool in Turn Windows Features On or Off then you don’t have to follow the below steps and you can directly start configuring the Roles and Features.
   B. If you can’t find the RSAT tool in Turn Windows Features On or Off, you may go ahead and follow the Step 2.

Step 2: Download and install the RSAT Tool:

1. Click here or click on the below mentioned link to download the RSAT from Windows 10 Operating System.

2. Now you need to click on Download and select the appropriate Version of your Windows i.e. x64 bit or x86 (32bit) and install it.
3. Once the installation get complete, it’ll prompt you to restart your Windows. Restart your Computer and the update will take a while to get configured.
4. Once your Computer is restarted or the update gets configured you can refer the Step 1 and then check the RSAT Roles and Features.
5. You can uncheck to uninstall those roles and features and give a check mark to install those roles and features.

NOTE: You can see these roles and features in Administrative Tools under Control Panel once they get successfully configured or installed.

How to Copy Contacts from an Android Phone (Samsung, HTC, Nexus, Moto) to an iPhone

I have seen lot of people struggling to transfer their contacts from an Android Phone to an iPhone and vice versa. In this post, I am going to help those individuals who are looking out for the resolution to transfer their Contacts from an Android Phone to an iPhone.

In order to transfer the Contacts from an Android Mobile to an iPhone you need to have the following things:

1. Computer with Internet connection.
2. Gmail Email ID (in which your Contacts are synced).
3. Apple Email ID.
4. A web browser.

Below is the Step-by-step procedure on how to transfer your Contacts from an Android phone to an iPhone:

Step 1: Export the Contacts in .vcf file from your Gmail Account:

1. Firstly make sure to sync the Contacts of your Android phone to your Gmail account.
2. Login to Gmail with your Gmail ID by clicking here.
3. Now click on Gmail and then select Contacts as shown in the below picture:
   

4. As soon as you Click on Contacts, it’ll take you to Contacts. Now, click on Export from left pane as shown in the below picture:
   

5. As the above Window shown is a Preview Version which doesn’t support Export or Import, you’ll get another prompt which says “Import from Old Google Contacts” as shown in the below picture. Click on Go to Old Contacts and it’ll redirect you to Old version of Gmail Contacts.
   

6. Now, click on More and then click on Export, as shown in the below picture:
   

7. Now click on the select box and select all the contacts as shown in the below picture:
   

8. As soon as you select all your Contacts, click on More and then click on Export as shown in the picture:

9. Now, select “All Contacts” and select vCard format.
10. Now, save the file in the default location or your desired location, as shown in the picture below:

11. Once, you have successfully Exported the contacts, signout from Gmail.

Step 2: Import the Contacts in iCloud:

1. Open any web browser.
2. Login to iCloud by clicking here and then click on Contacts as shown in the below Picture:
   
3. Now, click on the Gear Icon  from the bottom left pane and click on Import VCard and browse the location where the File is located or stored and then click on Open.
4. Yeppy!! Now you are done importing your Contacts to iCloud.
5. Now configure your iPhone with the current Apple ID where you have imported the Contacts. If it is already added or configured with the same ID, go ahead and sync your iPhone and wait for a while, you’ll see all your contacts in your iPhone phonebook.
